Abstract

In the 1950 decade, it occurred the colonization in Paraná. In this period, it was common that the companies directions used airplanes as a means of transportation, considering the poor railways structures existing in the Northwest of Paraná. However, more than 60 years have passed, many cities which had aerodromes do not have them anymore, because the economic and populational importance of those cities are not the same. In this way, the study    has the purpose of demonstrate that there are relations among the flow of aircrafts, localization of aerodromes and the economic development of the cities in the Northwest of Paraná.  In search of a theoretical background, a brief bibliographic survey was executed which bases the study, demonstrating that there is a connection between the economy and the aircraft flow.
