Management of material resources in nursing

Abstract

This article reflects about the educational process developed together with the nursing workers at the University Hospital at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (HU/UFSC), concerning the Management of Material Resources (MRM) in the medical-surgical In-Patient Services. The search for space to reflect-act in the workplace was developed through workshops, sustained in the liberation pedagogical vision and in the methodology of problematics. The educational process permitted that these workers reflected upon the space already conquered within the MRM, the ways in which they have performed within these spaces, the importance of the conscientiousness of Nursing´s participation and the influence of such involvement, and the quality of the care provided to the users of the Health Care Services.
