Estrutura e crescimento industrial dos aglomerados produtivos na região Sul do Brasil

The presente study aims to analyze the productive configuration and growth potencial of small industrial companies in the context productive agglomeration in the states of the Southern region of Brazil. From the perspective of demand, the estimative of the parameters of statistical analysis of value addition by the sectoral groups, which house the productive clusters, showed an important underlying industrial structure of predominance of small industrial companies in the manufactures of consumer goods and investiment goods. This study revealed the existence of a special pattern of manufacturing production in produtive clusters in the South region, shaped by persistent sectorial configurations of technology and industrial structure. Local development policies should focus on promoting productive links and technogical transfer between related and complementary cluster and on the tranformation of the current pattern of specialization centered on natural resources and labor, towards knoleddge-intensive sectors with greater added value to the sectors.
