APLICAÇÃO DE RECURSOS DO CRÉDITO RURAL EM MUNICÍPIOS DE MATO GROSSO: O CASO DO PANTANAL MATO-GROSSENSE
Abstract
This study addresses a central issue for Brazil’s socioeconomic strengthening and development: the distribution of rural credit. Although recognized as an essential instrument for financing agricultural and livestock production, a strategic sector of the national economy, its allocation across the Brazilian territory still reveals challenges related to access and distributive inequalities. In this context, the research aims to analyze the distribution of rural credit in municipalities of the Mato Grosso Pantanal and to identify the spatial patterns of resources allocated to the agricultural sector. To this end, secondary data from the Statistical Yearbook of Rural Credit and the Rural Credit Data Matrix – Credit Granted are used, organized into tables according to their purposes (costing, investment, commercialization, and industrialization), activities (agriculture or livestock), and the amount financed by municipality. Given the historical and economic predominance of livestock farming in the region, it is observed that the largest share of resources was also concentrated in this activity, reinforcing the productive pattern already consolidated in the territory.
