Abstract

The aim of the study is analyze the theoretical contributions of the brazilian geographer Milton Santos and of the British geographer David Harvey on the concept of space. The research is justified because of the importance that the concept of space has, being at present, considered as the object of study of the geography, which requires further theoretical and epistemological concept. This manner, with this text we seek to contribute to a better understanding of the theoretical advances on the concept of space in the geography and indicate possible articulations in the works of authors.

  • Fabio Rodrigues da Costa, PGE-UEM/FECILCAM
    possui graduação em Geografia pela Faculdade Estadual de Ciências e Letras de Campo Mourão (2002) e mestrado em Geografia pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (2005). Atualmente é professor da Faculdade Integrado de Campo Mourão, professor assistente da Faculdade Estadual de Ciências e Letras de Campo Mourão e professor - Secretaria de Estado da Educação do Paraná. Tem experiência na área de Geografia, com ênfase em Geografia, atuando principalmente no seguinte tema: produção do espaço, dinâmica da população, recursos hidricos, qualidade da água.
