Body expression in dancing:experience and reflexion in a school enviroment

Abstract

A practical experience at the Centro de Aplicações Pedagógicas (Teachers’Training Centre) of the Universidade Estadual de Maringá was developed, in the educational field, chiefly in Physical Education and the problems attibuited to it. The experiment was undertaken with children of 8^th form. It tried to give an awareness about necessities and possibilities of movements so that certain resistances hindering themes to linked to sport’s cultural roots colud be overcome. The body expression in Dancing at school is hindered by social, cultural and pedagogical resistances. The latter are part of the person’s life and in many circumstances render difficult his/her the degree of reflexions trough the commitment of teachers to the culture of movements in all their aspects.
