Physical education in children’s life: meanings

Abstract

The paper has tried to ponder over some aspects of the meaning of Physical Education for children’s life. Initially we have to contextualize Brazilian children, their reality and their material means of existence. After that we tried to identify clues that could contribute to deepen the study of this theme, trough the consideration of the topics: The Importance of the Movement for the Life of the Child; The Meaning of Children’s Plays and Games; and The Contribution of Physical Education to the Formation of the Child’s Corporeal Culture.
