Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of visual knowledge of performance (KP) in a self-controlled frequency in sport skill learning by children. Thirty volunteers aged between eleven and thirteen years-old were distributed in three groups: self-controlled, which received visual KP when asked; yoked, which received KP as self-controlled group, and control group, without visual KP. The experimental design had acquisition phase with two sessions of eighty trials, immediate transfer test, ten minutes after acquisition phase and delayed transfer test, 48 hours after immediate test, both with 10 trials. The measures were scored at a target and from movement pattern. Results did not confirm the effects of self-controlled frequency of visual KP.
