Institucional exemplary and pedagogical renewal: reflections from the travel of teachers of the Instituto de Odivelas [Odivelas Institute]

Abstract

This article tries to make a reflection on the travels made by teachers of a specific institution, the current Instituto de Odivelas [Odivelas Institute] (Portugal), dedicated to education, on a boarding-school scheme, of children and young female children military daughters and characterized by their exemplary and by development, in different moments, of a set of pedagogical innovations. From these travels resulted reports, which are the main source of this work and allow us to think in travel as a resource for the legitimacy of the educational project of the Institute.
