Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discuss the results of the morphological formations identified in a monolingual terminological investigation. Therefore a theoritical contextualization to localize the reader in the issues dealing with terminology, specialty language and possibilities of morphological formation of these neologisms is provided. The diversity of these formations in the specialty language studied was verified through the adaptation of neologisms derived from translations. It may be concluded that the Portuguese language has progressively been changed into a language of specialized communication.

Possui graduação em Letras Português Francês pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1985) , mestrado em Letras Filologia e Língua Portuguesa pela Universidade de São Paulo (1998) e doutorado em Letras Filologia e Língua Portuguesa pela Universidade de São Paulo (2003) . Atualmente é Professor não-titular concursado da Universidade Estadual de Maringá e Membro de corpo editorial da Acta Scientiarum (UEM). Tem experiência na área de Letras , com ênfase em Língua Portuguesa.
