Abstract

This study was realized with the purpose of assisting environmental education programs set to the residents of Tarumã community in Maringá - Pr. Several themes referring to pollution were mentioned, searching, through the perception of the residents, aspects to aid the implantation of an awareness and environmental education program that promotes a change of attitude, both individually and collectively. The data was obtained by the means of 230 home interviews. The results were presented on tables, graphs and maps that made it possible to visualize the perception of these residents.
