Abstract

Postgraduate linguistic formation of indigenous and non-indigenous teachers and researchers is discussed. The essay recalls the pressing needs of teaching indigenous languages in village schools and the formation of teachers at different educational levels for the task of teaching the indigene languages even at the linguistic and scientific level. Discussions are foregrounded on analyses made during the development of activities, such as workshops, extension courses, production of didactic material, production of DVDs and musical CDs, linguistic disciplines. The above aimed at documenting, analyzing, describing and teaching of Brazilian indigenous languages with the relevant participation of indigene teachers and researchers of the ethnical groups concerned.
